Residential architecture

Greenspace Architects designs and adapts homes across Cape Town and the Garden Route, with project experience from urban heritage houses and additions to coastal residences and estate homes.

Herman Fourie remains personally involved from initial concept and municipal approvals through to contract administration and completion. The work is grounded in the client brief and the specific conditions of each site. Where relevant, design considers orientation, passive comfort, energy efficiency, water-conscious planning, natural materials and the landscape around the home.

Residential examples include House Koo in Green Point, House Singleton in Oranjezicht, House Ibhubesi in Herolds Bay, House Skinner at Kingswood, George, and House du Toit near Gouritzmond. These projects have different settings and briefs; their case studies describe the documented architectural response.

Greenspace Architects is based in Mowbray, Cape Town and George. Herman Fourie is a Professional Architect (SACAP Pr Arch 21066) and Green Star SA Accredited Professional. Read his professional background or explore Cape Town and Garden Route projects.
